After the passing of Wind Woman, my beloved of 37 years, I was left in total devastation, not knowing which way to turn, what was to be my purpose, who am I & do I even want to be here.
I only know, as long as I'm here, I want & need to live in honor of her legacy.
I feel this web site is a very good start.
First I'd like to say I am so very honored for the opportunity to share my wife's legacy on the internet, I am honored that you are here as well.
One fact I'd like to share first off, Wind Woman was her name well before I met her.
I was preparing for a road trip and stepped into a book store
"The House of Paper Ships" in Fort Collins Colorado, for reading material.
As I was checking out I glanced over and saw a flyer about
Wind Woman speaking tomorrow night.
I was intrigued.
Of course my travel plans were postponed so I could attend.
My life has never been the same ever since.
At least for me, it was love at first sight.
She liked to claim (teasingly) she tried to run me off for over a year, never happened.
I was blessed with her love for 37 years, well,,, maybe 36 1/2,
And Counting, 1986 - 2023.
You know, some people say you can't have a
strong lasting relationship without investing a lot of time.
Obviously I don't agree.
Many people would love to have had the amazing Love & Life we had together,
all started by glancing at a flyer & following through, within 6 months we were married.
Our sound studio where we spent thousands of hours recording her message, her profound wisdom and presence. As a conscious channel, she could simply sit with you in conversation, viewing the entire scenario you speak of on her screen as she describes it.
When I moved from our home in Colorado, I brought an amazing archive of recordings we made through the years, including some fun open mic, hanging out times with our crew & inner circle, We can clearly hear her joy & presence in the room.
I am guided to produce more audio files of Wind Woman's live classes, meditations & prayers to share online, building a community of like minded folks from around the nation if not world.
Sacred Voices.org was the web site for students of her ministorial school, to gain access to her books, recorded support, submit homework projects, etc.
Crazy Coyote Productions of course recorded several audio projects for them.
That's a very good question, one I don't always have an answer for, after losing the most precious & main part of my life.
It's been difficult at best to visualize myself anywhere, doing anything without her, much less start a whole new life, she was always right there.
My only desire was to follow her advice and return to my audio work that I love to do.
I have her archive & legacy in several cases of recordings, to edit into more products & opportunities to reach souls looking for her basket of wisdom to take from.
From there, Wind's Legacy will generate revenues to carry out her wishes of benevolence., we had many conversations of our goals and what we wanted to offer, she was so cute when she got excited.
That sounds like something I can do.
So, I'll dust the cob webs off and get to work, doing everything in my power to present her to the internet world and see who we can reach & help.
I started an internet campaign looking for options of where I will live in an RV, the rest of my days.
3 locations came up catching my eye, two were in New Mexico, 1 in Utah.
There was one that kept calling to me, which was Smugglers Roost, during the course of a few months, I traveled to Smugglers Roost 4 times. Each time feeling a strong connection & familiarity with the area. While being tugged on by the Northern states I was used to, around the Montana & Seattle areas where I have family.
My counsel kept reassuring me moving to Smugglers Roost was going to be a good thing, just get out of your way, be ready to receive, it's going to workout better than you think.
So, I arrived at Smugglers Roost on 4.20.24, where I am reasonably comfortable, with friends that literally saved my life. I will be eternally grateful to these friends for letting me go through my grief process, yet made sure I never felt alone, feeling their presence when I needed to know they were there, no matter how far.
I really liked the community feeling of Smugglers Roost, while having the independence it offers. Desert terrain has it's own beauty that grows on you,,, I do love the hills at sunset.
The Manager Gene & Pam are good people & want to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable, actively creating events of interest in local areas, as well as supporting events of residents who want to offer their time and efforts hosting events for fellow residents.
It's the people, the energy of the area, the night sky's, I really am at home and am very grateful to live here in Animas New Mexico, at Smugglers Roost, to build a new life at 71. Here we go.
As well as reaching folks online with Wind's enormous yet simple messages, my vision is to create great places for my friends and neighbors to hang out with community folks in fun and/or useful, sometimes needed places.
My Wife would like that, very much.
Wind Woman is the real thing, I've watched her speak in front of hundreds if not thousands in the Lincoln Center and Denver Coliseum. Intellectual types always wanted to catch her in challenging questions, she always responded with the perfect answer to satisfy the question and then some.
She walked her walk and talked her talk.
Remember, she was a conscious channel, she just looked at her screen, and had a powerful team that answered everything she asked about she was truly amazing to watch.
As with all people, Wind had many sides & moods, I enjoyed everyone of them, even her being a Capricorn & everything, Ha Ha Ha. It was a joke, I'd raze her about being a Capricorn she'd raze me about being a Cancer. We are total opposite's, her birthday in January, mine July.
She was the most determined hard headed women I ever met, yet she was soft with the innocence of a sweet little girl.
Strong and confident, yet a nervous wreck just before going on stage to speak, as soon as her mouth opened she had the right words.
